Children's Music Ministry
At Ankeny First, our desire is to encourage the musical potential God has gifted to each child by developing musical skills including expressive tuneful singing, artful movement, instrument playing for the purpose of participating in individual and corporate worship. Kids of the Kingdom:
"Kids of the Kingdom" offers children in grades 1st-5th an environment in which they may gain a deeper understanding of their faith while discovering the importance of worshiping together. In addition to singing regularly in worship services, singers participate in the children's Christmas program in December and present a showcase in May. Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:00-6:40pm in the Uptown Choir Room (located on the 200 Level/Sunday School Hallway), September through May. This email address is being protected from spambots. Little Cherubs:
"Little Cherubs" provides children ages 3 through Kindergarten an opportunity to learn about God while singing, playing instruments, and moving to music. Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings from 6:00-6:30pm, CLC Room 102, OR Wednesday evenings from 6:00-6:40pm, Uptown Room 215, September through May. Tina Davis, Director. Register here

Celebration Chimes:
Celebration Chimes is the beginning tone chime group for children in 3rd – 5th grades. This group learns to play chords and read music, and will present their music in worship.
