Chancel Choir is the Uptown Sanctuary choir that leads worship twice a month, September through June, at our 8:30am and 11:00am Uptown services, as well as for special worship services and outreach concerts. This group averages 40 to 50 members, and is open to senior high students through adults of all vocal backgrounds and abilities. Music selections are typically SATB and vary in genres from sacred classical to spirituals to contemporary. Weekly rehearsals are held Wednesdays, August through early June, from 7:00–8:15pm in the Uptown Choir Room, located on the B level.
Chapel Singers is a choral group that sings once per month at the 9:00am traditional service at Faith Chapel. They rehearse every third Sunday from 8:00 to 8:45am, September through May at Faith Chapel.
Praise Choir enhances worship at the CLC by singing praises alongside the band, and provides occasional special music. (Amity Wagner, Director)
The Cantata Choir is a seasonal vocal ensemble comprised of singers from all worship sites who meet weekly (choose Sunday afternoons or Wednesday evenings), January through Easter, to prepare for our annual Holy Week Musical – which combines the talents of singers, actors, dancers, and live orchestra to recreate the days and events of Jesus' life and passion in a fully-staged musical.
Men's Vocal Group is a TTBB men's choir for high school and adult tenor and bass singers. They rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00pm in the Uptown Choir Room (during the summer), and present their music in Uptown worship and for various other outreach concerts and events. Music varies from hymn arrangements to spirituals to other sacred music settings. (Don Miller & JoAnn Orthel, Directors)
