Connection opportunities from last week's GREEN SHEET worship supplement:

  • Little Ninjas

    Begins March 26

Our next session of Little Ninjas will begin Tues., March 26, at 6:30pm. In Little Ninjas the goal is to help children ages 4-6 be the best they can be at everything they put their minds to by improving basic motor and listening skills. Instructors are good role models who engage your child in a fun way, teaching them to listen to instructors and work cooperatively with their fellow ninjas. In class we incorporate techniques from many types of martial arts, preparing your child for specialized classes in the future, while providing basic self-defense techniques they can use today. Classes will include an intentional time for devotion and prayer. Pre-registration is required at Cost is $30 for this 8-week session.

  • Lent Sermon Series Small Groups

Begins the Week of March 10

Lenten Sermon Series & Small Groups We invite you to join us as we lead up to Easter Sunday with our Lent sermon series. We will have small groups that coincide with the series that we encourage you to connect in. It's never too late to jump in to a group! They follow each week's sermons. • Blood Drive Challenge

    March 26

The Christian Care Cluster would like to offer up a challenge to our congregation. For every pint of blood over 20 pints (which is our average), the Cluster will donate funds to pay down the Ankeny school lunch debt. What a great way to help our community! For every pint of blood donated, three lives can be saved or sustained. For every pint of blood over our average donated, we will help feed hungry children in our local schools. Our next blood drive will be March 26 at our Uptown location from 2:00–6:00pm. Sign up at or call Judy Ruble, 515.729.9482.

FUEL Up Every Learner --Every first Wednesday of the month through May 2019, Soul Food Café will donate all money collected to help pay down the Ankeny School’s lunch debt. This effort is a way for our church to support our community and to give back to a community that supports us. Please consider joining us for a casual meal and donating to this cause every first Wednesday from now until the end of the school year. Local students who participate in the Orbis program will be helping during the meal, so come by and let them know you support them and our schools.

    We need some extra hands

We need to change out light bulbs in the Uptown sanctuary. No tools are needed, but we will need several people to move pews in and out and to help hold ladders, or go up in the lift to change lights. If you’ve helped with this task previously, we would love to see you again. We’ll start at 8:30am and try to be finished by noon on Sat., March 16.
