The Ankeny First CLC worship team exists to create an atmosphere where all people can encounter the presence of God. We desire to lead the congregation into deeper worship through musical excellence, creativity, and passion. Platform worship leaders are made up of vocalists, guitarists (electric, acoustic, bass), keyboard players, and drummers who volunteer on a rotational schedule. The production team includes volunteer audio engineers, visual techs, and lighting & camera operators.

The Ankeny First CLC worship team exists to create an atmosphere where all people can encounter the presence of God. We desire to lead the congregation into deeper worship through musical excellence, creativity, and passion. Above all, we desire for God to be glorified through everything we do as a worship team.
We realize that worship leadership is a gift of God’s grace, and we desire to use this gift to bring God glory. We commit to regular attendance of worship gatherings, team nights, rehearsals, & trainings as well as personal practice time.
We believe the foundation for this ministry is a heart that seeks after God, evidenced by living out our church’s method: worship, connect, respond.
We pray regularly for the corporate worship of Ankeny First UMC that God’s power might be our strength and enabling.
We authentically worship with excellence and creativity whether leading from the platform, production booth, gathering spaces, our homes, or with the gathered congregation.
We understand this is a team ministry, and we seek to preserve unity and endeavor to work with servant hearts, being reliable, punctual and responsible, while seeking to build community among those with whom we serve.
