  • Malawi Partnership of Hope

Interested in going on the summer trip?

Is God calling you to respond to the needs of others? Representatives from our church have traveled to Malawi each year since 2009 to worship and connect with our brothers and sisters in Christ in Malawi. This ministry is appropriately named the Partnership of Hope, as it is a ministry of presence and encouragement. We are currently filling spots for our 2020 team, which will travel to Malawi from June 27 to July 11. Please consider joining our team as a way to respond to the gifts God has given you. Deadline is February 1. For more information, contact Len Pallas at This email address is being protected from spambots. • Senior Connection Team

    Volunteers Needed!

Just over a year ago, we started the Senior Connection Ministry. This ministry has blossomed and we are connecting to over 40 fellow church members who can no longer make it to church. We now need help so we can visit with even more people! Can you spare an hour or more a month to visit someone who may be lonely? Would you consider offering Communion to someone who can’t make it to church and is longing for that connection to Christ? Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. • Blood Drive Challenge

Next Date is March 31, 2020

For every pint of blood over 20 pints (which is our average), the Christian Care Cluster will donate money to Ankeny Community Schools FUEL (Filling Up Every Learner) account. This allows students with lunch account balances of negative $50 or more to access money for a meal. What a great way to respond to God’s love in our community! Our next blood drive will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at our Uptown location, 2:00-5:45pm. Register at www.lifeservebloodcenter.orgwww.lifeservebloodcenter.org. Questions? Contact Judy Ruble, 515.729.9482.

  • January MISSION OF THE MONTH

    Books for Children

To start off the new year, we are focusing on childhood literacy—an annual cause that focuses on students in Ankeny and Des Moines. You are encouraged to donate new, or like-new, children's books to be distributed to children at local relief agencies and ELL students at Southeast Elementary. Place them in the "Mission of the Month" bins located at any worship location. In addition, we have set a goal to raise $10,000 to provide every PreK-5th grade child at Terrace, Northwest, East and Southeast Elementary Schools an opportunity to choose their very own book at their school Book Fair. We are also helping provide a book for each one of our Bright Beginnings Preschool students. Find an offering envelope at the Connect, write "Children's Books" in the memo line of your check, or donate on-line.

  • BUILDING UP OUR PROPERTY MINISTRY TEAM

    SKILLED WORKERS ALWAYS NEEDED

The church is always in need of skilled labor to help our buildings and grounds remain safe, clean, and maintained. If you have experience (professional or DIY), this is a great opportunity for you to be in service with your church family so that we can focus on the ministry that happens every day at our facilities.
