Respond

Respond to God's gift of love by serving your neighbor.

  • Christmas Giving Trees

    Tradition of giving

Each year we decorate trees at all our locations with star ornaments that have a suggested donation written on the back. Please consider taking one or more of these stars and fulfilling the wish on them for those in need. We additionally collect winter hats, mittens and gloves and give them to local agencies that then distribute as needed. Place the hats/mittens/gloves on the designated trees or in the tubs that can be found at any location. Please return your donations to the church by December 21.

  • Blood Drive Challenge

Next Date is January 21, 2020

For every pint of blood over 20 pints (which is our average), the Christian Care Cluster will donate money to Ankeny Community Schools FUEL (Filling Up Every Learner) account. This allows students with lunch account balances of negative $50 or more to access money for a meal. What a great way to respond to God’s love in our community! Our next blood drive will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at our Uptown location, 2:00-6:00pm. Register at www.lifeservebloodcenter.orgwww.lifeservebloodcenter.org. Questions? Contact Judy Ruble, 515.729.9482.

  • December MISSION OF THE MONTH

    Food Drive

December Mission of the Month What gift shall we bring? At Christmas we celebrate the birth of a baby, and what better gift can we bring an infant than the gift of diapers—all babies need them! We will again be collecting disposable diapers for Bidwell Riverside and other agencies within Polk County. Larger sizes are especially needed. Special envelopes can be found at our Welcome Centers for monetary donations, or simply write “December Mission of the Month" in your check memo.

If you have experience (professional or DIY), this is a great opportunity for you to be in service with your church family so that we can focus on the ministry that happens every day at our facilities.
