2025 INTERNATIONAL Malawi Trip Planning is IN PROGRESS!!
Taking a trip with our church to Malawi is a life changing experience which allows you to build new relationships and see God's work in our partnership with your OWN eyes. Trip participants often become some of the biggest advocates for the ministry as they get the chance to share in God's love with our friends in Malawi.

What is this Partnership?
Around 2010, missionaries from Ankeny First made their first trips to Malawi to establish a partnership based on relationships and presence. While the church knew it felt called to establishing a partnership that included financial generosity, we also heard a call from God to get to know the people of Malawi.
What We Do Together?
Ankeny First partners with the UMC in Malawi to support clean water projects (deep water wells), children's education, women's empowerment, pastoral and church support, as well as feeding programs and orphanage support.
What's Different?
The whole church supports the Partnership of Hope through its missional giving. The missionaries who travel on behalf of our church to Malawi each year are rarely involved in the swinging of hammers or the planting of seeds, but rather make the journey to build relationships, make new friends, and worship God together all over the country.
