Teens who grow together in God's love through worship, friendship and community.

Youth group at Ankeny First UMC includes youth from grades 6th-12th. Each Wednesday night, youth group meets at the CLC to worship, listen to a message, share life in small groups, and have fun. Youth spend about 2/3 of the evening in large group, then split into grade level small groups to have discussions about how the lesson for the night can impact the way they live. Urban Plunge Summer Mission Trip for Grades 9-12

Attention high school students (grades 9-12)! We are partnering with Urban Plunge and going to Chicago from June 19 to 22 to spend a few days in fellowship and service with each other, while also getting the opportunity to make new connections through spreading God’s love.

JUDE ABOAGYE

YOUTH DIRECTOR
Jude Aboagye joined our staff as the new Director of Youth Ministry on August 8, 2022. Jude is a 10-year resident of Ankeny and a graduate of AHS and the University of Iowa. His family is originally from Ghana in West Africa where he spent a few years living as a child. He has spent just about all of his life in the church and grew up playing several instruments on the worship team. In his free time, he enjoys playing the bass and spending time with family.
